Last updated: October 2026. StarSlate is made for young children, so we have built it to collect as little as possible. This page is written for parents and carers.

We do not collect personal information

There is no sign-up, no login, no chat and no form. A child cannot type a name or any other detail into this site, because there is nowhere to type it.

The star chart

When a game is finished, the number of stars earned is saved by the browser on your own device. It never leaves the device and we cannot see it. Clearing the browser's stored data for this site removes it.

Server logs

As with any website, the hosting server records technical details of each request: the internet address it came from, the page, the time and the browser type. These are used only to run and protect the service.

Advertising on a children's site

StarSlate may show adverts through Google AdSense. Because this site is directed at children, every advert request is marked as child-directed and non-personalised. That means adverts are not chosen using a profile of the visitor's interests or browsing history. They are selected from the content of the page and general location. Cookies may still be used for limited purposes such as counting views and preventing fraud.

Google describes how it handles information from sites that show its adverts at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not use analytics or social media trackers.

Apart from adverts and the links on this page, the site does not send children to other websites.

We will receive your address and message and use them only to reply. Please do not include personal details about a child.

Parents and guardians can write to hello@example.com with any question about this policy. If it changes, the date at the top will be updated.
